Address Standardization

Address standardization is a necessary step to achieve optimal results for the merge/purge and presort processes.

We process all fields against the US Postal Service city and address files. Records are then either verified or corrected with proper spellings for street and city names. Zip codes are checked for accuracy and replaced with corrected zip codes if needed.

During address standardization, records are assigned delivery codes. These codes include zip + 4, carrier route and delivery point barcode. All address lines are set to a standard format.
